On 26 February 2025, Artificial Intelligence Day (https://www.ki-mv.de/tag-der-ki/) took place in Rostock. The Centre for Artificial Intelligence MV organised the AI Day as a joint event of Rostock University Medicine and the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Rostock.
Prof. Christian Haubelt and Prof. Sascha Spors presented the SFB ELAINE at the AI Day. Their presentation on ‘Interdisciplinary intelligence: Challenges and solutions for smart implants’ highlighted the interdisciplinary challenges of using data-driven methods to realise intelligent, electrically active implants. In the future, these implants should adapt the electrical stimulation of tissue to the respective situation. This adaptation is one of the focal points that our SFB ELAINE has set itself the goal of realising.
We thank Christian Haubelt and Sascha Spors for contributing to the AI day.
