As exchange and networking are very important in research, we are very pleased to announce that Dr. Abdullah Riaz, an associate scientist of the SFB 1270 ELAINE, has started a research stay at Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Research, University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. Abdullah is a junior research group leader based at Prof. Hermann Seitz’s group, Chair of Microfluidics Rostock.
During his research stay at the University College Dublin, Abdullah is investigating the local piezoelectric response of bone scaffolds using piezoresponse force microscopy in the nanoscale functional group of Prof. Brian Rodriguez. The scaffolds will be investigated based on their composition and synthesis routes.
The research stay of Dr. Abdullah Riaz is financially supported by the Integrated Research Training Group of the SFB 1270 ELAINE. We are delighted to be able to support this research stay in the framework of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation funded Collaborative Research Center SFB 1270 ELAINE.
We wish Abdullah an exciting and successful time at the University College Dublin!
